Welcome:

Thank you for visiting the future website of New Covenant Baptist Church. Our presence on the web is currently a work in progress but come back soon and we will be fully up and running!

Who We Are:

New Covenant Baptist is a new church plant in the Lincoln, CA area. Currently we are a small congregation of families with the desire to covenant together in an effort to glorify God in our worship as a Local New Testament Church.

Our church denominationally, doctrinally, and historically identifies itself as Baptistic in distinctive and Calvinistic in soteriology, or the doctrine of salvation as expressing the eternal covenant of redemption and grace. We hold to the First London (1644) and Second London (1689) Baptist Confessions of Faith as a general doctrinal and historical expression of our faith, but the Scriptures alone are our rule of both faith and practice.

We are assailed on every side by the world, and are often misunderstood even by professing Christians for who and what we are-Christians, Calvinists, Baptists, and for what we believe and practice-the free and sovereign grace of God, believer's baptism by immersion, plural Eldership, wine for the Lord's Supper, "Close" communion, and the perpetuity of the New Testament churches.

We hope that in the future you will find our website both informative and educational regarding what we believe as a body of believers.

…earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.
Jude 1:3b

Our Mission Statement:

New Covenant Baptist Church exists for one primary purpose: to fulfill the Great Commission as given to the Church by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ
(Matt. 28:19-20).

By submitting to the Power and Authority of The Lord Jesus Christ we seek to "Go… and teach all nations" the Gospel by being committed to the public preaching of Christ. Therefore "having gone" we strive to make disciples, baptizing them in the authority of His name as commanded.

Finally, being disciples ourselves we continually commit to the teaching, learning, and observing of all that is required of us by Him knowing that He is with us "unto the end of the world".

"Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen."
Matthew 28:19-20

What to Expect if You Visit:

Our services center around expository preaching of God's Word, congregational singing, prayer and family integrated worship and fellowship (Acts 2:42-47).

We do not have separate youth/children's or nursery school classes or programs and believe that worshiping as a whole family has unmeasurable benefits both temporally and eternally. In doing this the children will see their parents praying, worshiping and studying. This will be an opportunity for parents to model their faith, and it will create opportunities for parents to "teach" their children what it means to be a Christian.

Don't worry about distraction, children are loved, nurtured, and appreciated at New Covenant.

"But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven"
Matthew 19:14
